Seeking: Budding young voice artists for an exciting new project
Do you know a boy between the age of 5 – 10 with a distinctive husky voice? Windmill Pictures is embarking on an exciting new project and we’re looking for a budding voice actor who fits the below description to be a major character as part of it.
While we can’t give all the details away just yet, our character is caring and nurturing with a happy, calm and thoughtful nature. He often saves the day with his inventions and practical nature. More than anything, he loves a cuddle.
No prior experience is necessary. We’re interested in hearing unique voices and actors with lots of enthusiasm and invention. The only condition is that the actor needs to be based in South Australia.
We would love you to record your natural (everyday) voice, answering the questions below. If you would like to create a unique voice for a character, we would love to hear that as an addition option.
Please record your answers to the following questions:
- What’s your name?
- How old are you?
- What is your favourite thing to do?
- What is the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?
- What is your favourite thing about nature?
Recordings only need to be between two and three minutes. You can record on your iPhone or equivalent. We ask that you label the file as per the following:
[CHILD’S FIRST NAME] – [PARENT/ CARER NAME]
Voice recordings are to be sent via Dropbox link or email to Alex Hayley at alex.hayley@windmill.org.au with subject line ‘Child Auditions – Windmill Pictures’ before Friday 13 August.
Please include the child and parent and/or agent’s contact details in the body of the email. We will then contact you to schedule a second audition if you may be a fit for the project.
Recordings for our new project will take place during September.
