Ellen Steele is a theatre maker, performer and director based in Adelaide. She is a founding member of isthisyours?, an all-female collective committed to creating new and unconventional performance. Since their inception in 2007, isthisyours? have created five original full scale works, toured nationally and won multiple awards.

Ellen has toured extensively throughout Australia, Asia and North  America with companies including Windmill Theatre Company (Girl  Asleep, Big Bad Wolf, Grug, Beep, Grug and the Rainbow, Hiccup!), State Theatre Company of South Australia (David Williamson’s The Club (An  All-Female, Three Actor Version), After Dinner, Between Two Waves, Holding the Man, Maestro), Vitalstatistix (Love, Ruby Bruise), Slingsby (Wolf), Belvoir (Girl Asleep), The Border Project (I, Animal, I Am Not An Animal), and Patch (Mister McGee and the Biting Flea, Lighthouse, Me and My Shadow).

As an independent maker Ellen has developed work with Aphids, Terry and The Cuz, Spilt Second and Zoe Meagher for Next Wave Festival, Misery Children and Sanctum Theatre.

In 2019 – 2020, Ellen was recipient of an Arts SA Fellowship, understaking research into cross-cultural theatre making practices in Beijing and Adelaide alongside the development of a new cross-cultural work, The Friendly Games.

Ellen’s latest work See You at the Dance is currently in development and supported by Brink Productions.

Jude graduated with Honours from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Creative Arts in 2006. Since then, she has worked extensively for flagship, independent and experimental theatre companies across Australia and internationally.

Companies include Bell Shakespeare, Ontrorend Goed, State Theatre Company of SA, Windmill Theatre Co and Patch Theatre. Jude is an associate member of The Border Project and a founding member of isthisyours? Film and television credits include Sunshine and Oranges, The Swimming Lesson, Yuri Shima, Wire Through the Heart and Rainshadow.

Jonathon has designed set and costumes for Queensland Theatre, LaBoite Theatre, isthisyours?, Aphids, Arena Theatre Company, Polyglot, The Real TV Project, Polytoxic, Men of Steel, Lemony S Puppet Theatre, Terrapin Puppet Theatre, Vitalstatistix and Barking Gecko.

He has also worked with Bell Shakespeare, The Border Project, State Theatre of South Australia, Dead Puppet Society, The Last Great Hunt, Sydney Theatre Company, The Escapists, Melbourne Theatre Company, Sandpit, Belvoir St Theatre and Windmill Theatre Co, where he is resident designer. Jonathon has received numerous awards. Most recently in 2016, Jonathon was awarded the Sidney Myer Creative Fellowship and received APDG awards for both Best Production Design and Best Costume Design for Girl Asleep, and received an AACTA award for best Costume for Girl Asleep.

In 2017, he received the Sydney Theatre Award for Best Costume Design for Mr Burns.

Ross McHenry is a multi-award winning composer and bass player from Adelaide, South Australia. His original compositions encompass a broad range of influences including jazz, contemporary electronic and chamber music. Ross’ work reflects the unique and changing cultural landscape of Australian creative music and aims to explore the idea of modern Australian cultural identity within the context of an increasingly interconnected global musical landscape. Ross has performed extensively around Australia and the world at leading arts festivals and venues including Glastonbury, The Sydney Festival, The Adelaide Festival, WOMADelaide, the Falls Festival, Wellington International Jazz Festival and the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.

Chris is a lighting and video designer from Adelaide, working across theatre, dance, and other live events in Australia and internationally.

Chris has worked with renowned arts organisations including State Theatre Company of South Australia, Theatre Republic, Is This Yours, Australian Dance Theatre, Brink Productions, Restless Dance Theatre, Slingsby Theatre Company, Force Majure, Windmill Theatre Company and Vitalstatistix.

Chris recently worked on the inaugural Illuminate Adelaide Festival’s Light Cycles in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens crafted by the world-leading studio, Moment Factory. Other recent credits include Carla Lippis’ Mondo Psycho for WOMAD 2022, Theatre Republic’s How Not To Make It In America and Windmill Theatre Company’s Creation Creation.

Tamara has worked in numerous areas of the performing arts since 1997 including as a Director, Devisor, Maker and Singer. She has toured both nationally and internationally. She has also worked as both a performer and puppeteer for numerous shows.

Her credits include Piccasso and his Dog (Lemony S), Mr Freezy (Arena Theatre Company), Grug, Grug and the Rainbow, Beep and Hiccup (Windmill Theatre Co), COOP (Black Hole Theatre) and Tangle, We Built this City, Paper Planet, Tangle Weave, Forest Feast (Polyglot Theatre). Tamara is also a member of Men of Steel and was involved in their self-titled debut work, Men of Steel as well as Hard Rubbish. Her skills include making props and puppets for film, television and theatre.

Lachlan MacLeod is an actor, puppeteer and maker based in Melbourne. He’s worked extensively with Polyglot Theatre and Phunktional Arts Company, and has performed across Australia, Asia, the UK and America.

He is a frequent collaborator with A Blanck Canvas and has helmed many of their large scale outdoor puppet works.

Throughout 2020 – 2022, Lachlan toured as the country as Australia’s favourite Dad, Bandit, in the stage spectacular Bluey’s Big Play, which he helped develop with alongside BBC Studios, Andrew Kaye and Associates, Ludo Studio and Windmill Theatre Company’s Rosemary Myers.

Kidaan Zelleke is a multi-talent actor, who works in both stage and screen. she embraces all facets of acting including self-devised work. Having graduated from AC Arts in 2018, she’s looking forward to embracing her role as Beep and honing her puppetry stagecraft skills.

While training at the Adelaide College Arts Kidaan has played roles including Brutus in Julius Caesar directed by Nick Garsden, Lady Capulet in Nescha Jelk’s modern adaptation of Romeo and Juliet and Cathy in DNA directed by Corey McMahon. Kidaan also demonstrated her singing versatility as Marie in the Tom Wait’s Musical Woyzeck directed by Jon Halpin. Following on from her graduation she and five other women devised the Adelaide Fringe show, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are, a comedic exploration into the dark thoughts of actors during a performance of Hamlet. Kidaan is excited to be touring Windmill’s Beep.

Taylor Nobes is a professionally trained actor, singer & theatre maker based in South Australia and a 2019 graduate from Adelaide College of the Arts. Taylor has a passion for creating innovative theatre with elements of music, dark comedy and physical theatre.

Taylor has worked and collaborated with BRINK Productions on The Bridge of San Luis Rey (2021) and performed in FRANK Theatres’ Chameleon (2020-2021).

Taylor’s original work Does It Please You? (2021-2022) was awarded the Best Emerging Artist Award and The Holden Street Theatres Award (ADL Fringe). Taylor’s most recent work MUSIC & YOU (2023) was a recipient of a Best Cabaret award.

Taylor is a recipient of “The Mill’s” free-range residency for 2023 and will collaborate with multidisciplinary artists to develop her most recent work She’s Evil.

Since his graduation from Flinders Drama Centre in 2014, Antoine has had the privilege of working with companies from all tiers of the Adelaide Theatre industry.

His credits include Tartuffe and Long Tan by State Theatre Company and Brink Productions, Deluge the premiere work by Tiny Bricks for the Adelaide Festival, Schmidt by Back Porch Productions, Eurydice by Foul Play Theatre, Eyes by Sandpit , Beep by Windmill Theatre Co, and Yo Diddle Diddle by Patch. Antoine most recently performed in A View From The Bridge with State Theatre Company SA and looks forward to touring with Beep again next year in Canada and the US.

Elleni Karagiannidis is a local artist living and working on Kaurna land, Adelaide. A graduate of Flinders Drama Centre, she has studied various forms of puppetry with Philip Mitchell of Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, Alice Osbourne, The Puppetsmithery and The Theatre Research Institute.

She has worked broadly as an actor, theatre-maker, puppeteer, director, facilitator and program coordinator. She was a founding member of award winning company five.point.one.

She has toured nationally with Camp Quality and has worked with Act Now Theatre and Slingsby Theatre Company as part of the Slingsby Flying Squad. She’s worked extensively with Raising Literacy Australia, creating educational workshops to aimed at teaching parents and caregivers how to read to their children and the importance of reading regularly to assist with development and literacy.

Elizabeth is a South Australian based performer. She completed her training at the Flinders Drama Centre.

She has worked on Gods of Strangers, Jesikah, Volpone, Red Cross Letters (State Theatre Company South Australia), Emil and the Detectives (Slingsby Theatre Company), Yo Diddle Diddle (Patch Theatre) and Grug and the Rainbow (Windmill Theatre Co). Elizabeth was a deviser and performer in Stories in the Dark, which won the InSpace Development Award at the 2017 Adelaide Fringe. She has been involved with many local independent theatre companies, including ActNow Theatre as a performer and board member. Elizabeth joined the main cast of Danger 5 for the series return on SBS, and has appeared in other locally made television productions and commercials.

She has been a proud member of MEAA since graduating, and was recently made president of the South Australian Branch of Equity.
